Bitcoin Black Friday 2015 – Another Big Day In History
There is one major difference between merchants accepting Bitcoin, and those who do not. Unlike traditional payment methods, Bitcoin payments are subject to lower fees, allowing merchants to offer [minor] discounts all year long. Whenever Black Friday comes around, those discounts will be even larger than normal, which can only be beneficial to consumers all over the world.
Even though one might argue just how year-long discounts can bring in more business for Bitcoin merchants, that is hardly ever the case. Granted, they will attract more customers, but that doesn’t mean consumers will keep on spending Bitcoin all year long either. Black Friday is, and will always be, a special event, even in the Bitcoin world.
On this special day, there will be hundreds of discounts and deals on offer by participating merchants, available exclusively to Bitcoin users. Instead of spending fiat currency for the holiday shopping, why not spend Bitcoin instead? Granted, not everything can be bought with Bitcoin directly, but the discounts will be worth your while by the look of things.
Among the participating merchants are companies such as Namecheap, Denarium, Bitsoaps, REEDS Jewellers, and Private Internet Access. We will have to wait until November 27th before the full list of participating merchants and their associated discounts will be revealed, though. But if the three previous iterations are anything to go by, the 2015 Bitcoin Black Friday edition will be a great success.
The concept of Bitcoin Black Friday started out in 2012, and as various businesses started to see the advantage of such an event, it took on a life of its own. However, none of this would have been possible without the help of various investors, as well as the entire Bitcoin community around the world.
