There are several ways for us to introduce Bitcoin to the masses. One of the main issues a lot of run into however, is the fact that we tend to make the explanation rather technical, usually without realising it. Documentaries on the other hand, are a good way to explain Bitcoin to people who aren’t as technically inclined as nearly all of us are.
Bitcoin documentaries are a new niche market it seems. There have been a few ones released or announced already. And they are all pretty good, if you ask me. But I’m not sure any of them will convince your regular people on the street to get involved with Bitcoin.
The whole Bitcoin concept is rather hard to “dumb down” for people who don’t understand or care about technology. There is a solution to this though, by using the universal language which we all speak : money.
Or you can take it one step further, and show people proof of how the current monetary system is ripping them off on a nearly daily basis, without anyone noticing. Not just the banks, but credit card companies too, and everything in between.
While all of that is fine and dandy, you will also need a very catchy title for your Bitcoin documentary. Grasping people’s attention is not that easy when it comes to finance. Calling it “Bitcoin : The End of Money As We Know It” is a very good start if you ask me.
This Bitcoin documentary is currently looking for funding through the Kickstarter platform. The goal is only $10,000 . which should easily be attainable. Not to mention the people who financially support this project, are entitled to rewards, depending on the amount they pledged.
For just $35 AUD, you can get a Thank You credit in the documentary, the streaming link for the documentary itself, all Bonus Materials, PLUS a signed DVD shipped to your home. Add $4 AUD for shipping outside of Australia, regardless of your location in the world.
You can find out more information about “Bitcoin : The End of Money As We Know It” by visting their Kickstarter page :
As of this writing, we are almost halfway the target, with 26 days left to get the project funded. I am putting in my pledge right now, as I really want one of those signed DVDs! Plus I get to support Bitcoin using my credit card. The best of two worlds, right?
