When it comes to the world of Crypto, and Bitcoin in particular, it’s amazing to see so many new Bitcoin-related events popping up left and right. Take Cryptolina for example, the first ever Carolinas event bringing together all kinds of Bitcoiners!
Cryptolina will have a wide array of attendees, ranging from entrepreneurs and startups, to crowdfunders and financial professionals. A Bitcoin event wouldn’t be complete without venture capitalists and angel investors. Students and enthusiasts complete the picture.
There have been several press releases in regards to CryptoLina already. Adam Draper will address the attendees (click), the director of US Mint will keynote Cryptolina (click) and the major Bitcoin expo coming to Raleigh, NC. (click)
“The Cryptolina Bitcoin Expo is being held in a strategic pillar of the Research Triangle region — Downtown Raleigh. Home to Red Hat’s Worldwide headquarters, Downtown Raleigh continues to attract growing tech companies such as Citrix, Ipreo, and Bandwidth. The Raleigh Convention Center, which will host the expo, is surrounded by incubators, entertainment, a flourishing startup scene and exponential growth.”
The Cryptolina event has an awesome schedule (for those bits which have been confirmed) : a reception party with music on Friday, a lunch event on Saturday and also on Saturday, there will be a Merchant Workshop. Sounds absolutely brilliant so far!
The Cryptolina speaker lineup looks very good so far. Some important names include, but are not limited to , Elizabeth T. Ploshay Charlie Kiser, Todd Erickson, Phil Champagne , and many more names. You can find the full speaker lineup here.
Some very interesting companies are sponsoring the Cryptolina event, and it’s refreshing to see new(er) names on the list. CoinOutlet, Franko, College Cryptocurrency Network, BitcoinShop and many more are all sponsoring this event. A full list can be found here.
Tickets to Cryptolina are still available as of this writing. A student discount ticket can be purchased for $125, and a full conference pass will cost you $275. The pricing is very sharp, which I really like.

So when is this event taking place? Fairly soon actually, as it will run from Friday; August 15th until Saturday; August 16th 2014. The place to be is the Raleigh Convention Center. For a map or directions to the location, click here.
It’s shame CryptoArticles will not be able to attend the Cryptolina event this year, due to immense travel expenses. But you never know, we might be there next year in full force!
