Even though we have referenced some of the following items in previous article, now is an opportune time to reiterate some of them. The Darkcoin developers have released their development roadmap for DRK for 2015, and some interesting things are coming soon. Let’s dig in and see what we can expect!
The new additions to the development team, which you can read about in this article, will be putting their efforts towards improving DarkSend. The design of DarkSend will be restructured and flushed out, and we expect more information to become available in the next few weeks. For those of you wondering why DarkSend needs an overhaul, there are still some issues with the implementation.
Perhaps the biggest change coming to Darkcoin will be the improvement of mixing. By saying that, I mean it will take far less time to mix a DarkSend transaction (4-8 hours), but the user friendliness will be improved as well. Furthermore, users will receive improved DarkSend mixing feedback. No official details have been provided at this point, but more information will become available as we get closer to the release of the new DRK client.
Most of our readers will remember Darkcoin’s InstantX feature, allowing users to spend transaction money within roughly thirty seconds. You can read up about InstantX in this article, in case you missed it.
InstantX will be open sourced when the new Darkcoin client (version 0.10.18.x) is released. On top of that, the new DRK client will have integrated InstantX as well. Feedback from other cryptocurrency developers is appreciated, and ideas are welcome!
