Even though I’m very tired and have a massive headache at the moment, I will still keep bringing you articles. Franko, a digital currency which has been around for a while, now has an open source ATM. Exciting!
When it comes to digital currency ATM’s, the focus seems to be on Bitcoin. Understandably so, as it is the biggest and most well known Crypto out there. But there are platforms out there, such as SkyHook, which offer open source ATMs.
(We will do an article on SkyHook somewhere next week, don’t worry)
SkyHooks sells Bitcoin ATM’s, but as these machines are open sourced, you can mod and tweak them to work with pretty much any Crypto in existence. The Franko developer accepted this challenge, and has completed it successfully.
Several images of the Franko ATM can be found on BitcoinTalk. But the fun doesn’t end there. The FRK developer, who is also the developer for Aiden, is looking into modifying the code even further so Aiden is supported by the ATM as well.
But there is even more! You can see the Franko/Aiden ATM in action, and even use it, if you are attending the Cryptolina conference in August. For more information about Cryptolina, check out the article we wrote earlier today.
For your viewing pleasure, I embedded a small video about the Franko ATM below :
