To start off this Super Sunday (no reference to SuperCoin, but due to the fact Belgium plays in the World Cup!), I want to take a look at GuerillaCoin, a recently launched Crypto with a hard working team of developers.
Being only launched a few days ago, GuerillaCoin has been off to a great start. The launch itself went smooth, except for some unusual amount of suspicious (and anonymous) hashrate on one of the mining pools.
While this would usually lead to a relaunch, the GuerillaCoin developers took the better route, by quickly implementing code fixes and hard forking the coin. An updated GuerillaCoin client was released within hours, and is available for download here.
It’s heartwarming to see some developers still remain on top of things after launch and not just abandon coins. Even though most developers are hard workers , credit where credit is due, so kudos to the GuerillaCoin team!
Another thing that makes GuerillaCoin very interesting (in my book at least) is the fact there is no IPO and no pre-mine. There is a development fund however, but donations are optional. You can find out more information about the development fund here.
What makes GuerillaCoin truly unique however, is their PoS feature. No, not Proof-of-Stake, although you will earn stake too. I’m talking about Proof-of-Strength, which indicates how much of the network weight belongs to you. Rawr!
