Even though we only recently talked about HYPER, a new digital currency looking to make waves in the gaming world, several bits of news have been posted ever since. More game servers have gone live, and much more, so let’s take a look!
Game Servers Under Development
The HYPER server for Just Cause 2 is currently under development, and some testing has taken place last Sunday and Monday. If all goes to plan, all glitches and bugs should be fixed over the next few days. The HYPER payment system in Just Cause 2 still needs some work, so there is no official release date for this server at this point. Keep an eye on this server’s dedicated forum here.
Even though there already is a Minecraft Pokemon server for HYPER users, a second Minecraft server is being developed as we speak. This HYPER server will be for Minecraft Feed The Beast, but no further details were announced just yet
HYPER game servers for Team Fortress (should go live this week) and World of Warcraft Arena Tournament (development starts in November) are coming to users in the near future as well. Things are definitely looking good for HYPER on these fronts.
Existing Game Servers
The HYPER CounterStrike : Global Offensive server is currently testing a betting system , allowing spectators to bet on the outcome of the match. By sending HYPER to a dedicated address, your bet is placed on one of the two teams.
In-game players will be notified of every bet being placed as a message will appear in the chat window. As the match rounds only last about 90 seconds, payments will be done swiftly after each match.
“You can win up to double your bet. All bets must be offset by other betters, so if you bet 1 HYPER on the Terrorist team and want to get back 1.98 HYPER (2 hyper before that 1% house cut) someone else will need to bet at least 1 HYPER on the Counter-Terrorist team. Similar to the way traditional sports betting works. As a promotion I will be setting something up soon so that there is always some HYPER bet on every round, so there is always a chance to win some HYPER!”
If you are interesting in partaking in this early testing phase of the HYPER CS:GO server, or just want to spectate, you can find more details here.
HYPER will be listed as a tradeable asset (under the name HYPERFund) on the NXT Asset Exchange. Users will be able to trade HYPER to and from NXT as well. The tradeable asset itself will grant users 5% monthly dividends, paid out in NXT.
Last but not least, a plan is being formed in order to set up a HYPER Corporation in the incredibly popular space MMO Eve Online. As of this writing, details are being worked out to make sure the Eve Online Terms of Service are respected.
