LaBitConf 2015 Makes Its Way To Mexico City
True to the decentralized nature of Bitcoin, LaBitConf has been taking place in various cities every year. The event originally started out in Buenos Aires, then moved to Rio De Janeiro, and, this year, will take place in Mexico City. It is positive to see events like these move from city to city, as LaBitConf is representing the Latin American Bitcoin community and not just one country.
Attending the LaBitConf 2015 is possible on December 4 & 5, at the Escuela Bancaria y Comercial in Mexico City. To be more precise, attendees will have to make their way to the Dinamarca campus, which features modern and quality installations in a nice neighborhood of Mexico City.
Moving the LaBitConf event to Mexico City is no coincidence, as this city is one of the most active FinTech and remittance hubs in the world. Even though most people assume cities like London or Singapore are the only major areas of financial innovation, Mexico City is not to be overlooked in this regard.
According to the information, over 250 people – representing 15 different countries – will be attending LaBitConf 2015. It is always positive to see such international support for Bitcoin, especially where the unique digital currency-related issues facing Latin America – and beyond – are concerned.
“Our goal is to jumpstart Latin American innovation, encouraging entrepreneurs to develop applications on top of bitcoin and blockchain technology. The conference agenda will feature topics geared toward both entrepreneurs developing applications and professionals in the finance sector. We are committed to furthering Latin American bitcoin innovation, and hope the decision to host this year’s conference in Mexico will draw even broader interest.” – LaBitConf 2015 Organizer Rodolfo Andragnes stated in a press release.
Even though every Bitcoin event should be cherished and treasured, various Bitcoin industry leaders feel the Latin American Bitcoin Conferences are of incredible value. That trend will only continue as the organizing team has spared no expenses to ensure an all-star lineup of speakers.
Among the speakers are industry experts such as Erik Voorhees, Pablo Gonzalez, Andreas Antonopoulos, and Diego Gutierrez Zaldivar. On the list of topics to be touched upon are subjects like blockchain technology for businesses, merchant adoption, and the influence of Bitcoin in Latin America.
“Mexico is easily accessible from the US and serves as a strategic destination for those seeking Latin American partners in bitcoin and banking,“ Andragnes continued. “Our conference will give attendees from abroad a chance to see Latin America’s exceptional tech talent and vibrant startup ecosystem.” – Rodolfo Andragnes concluded.
Interested parties can still get their hands on one of the few remaining tickets for this event. Early registration for this conference will cost US$150, and if there are still tickets available on site, the price will be bumped up to US$185.
