A long awaited announcement from CAIx has finally been released. In the latest update, some new wallet features have been announced, with even more features being announced in the near future. Let’s take a look!
The new CAIx wallet will undergo some graphical reconstruction, which will result in an enhanced UI look and eye pleasing graphics. Even though most of us don’t look at their wallets all day, I like me some fancy graphics!
QR support will be coming as well, and this feature is actually complete. After going through extensive testing to fix any possible bugs that might pop up, this feature will definitely be included in the new CAIx wallet.
Perhaps the most interesting feature will be wallet-to-wallet communication. I have not received specific details on how this will work, but I do like the sound of it. I assume it’s like a CAIx messenger service of sorts, but I can be mistaken.
The new CAIx wallet itself will also have the C++ library on board for social media (Twitter,Facebook,…), as well as have a MintPal overview. This will save me from opening an extra tab several times a day, which is nice.
There are some features still in development at the moment which will hopefully make the release: escrow and merchant services, an external app for both Android and iOS and an optional MintPal API V2 trading system built-in. We will keep you updated on whether or not they will make the deadline.
More features are to be announced in the near future, so we will keep an eye out for any further announcements.
The new CAIx wallet is scheduled to be released either tomorrow or Friday.
