When it comes to creating a successful cryptocurrency, especially an altcoin, there are certain criteria you will have to meet. Tons of development, a good marketing strategy, and a name people can relate to. By calling your altcoin PandaCoin (PND), marketing and a good name can be checked off. But in terms of development, you still have a long way ahead of you. So what are they up to? Let’s take a look!
August 30th will be a very important day for all cryptocurrency/digital currency enthusiasts all over the world, as PandaCoin will change the way we think on that day. We will be presented with the unveiling of a highly anticipated set of major development updates to PandaCoin.
Via Twitter, I received a screenshot of how the new PandaCoin website will look, and which major innovations we can expect. I’m not sure if this list is complete by any means, but what I see so far is very, very appealing.
PandaBank will be introduced to the cryptocurrency/altcoin community. The idea behind PandaBank is to allow users to earn 2.5% interest per annum. But that is not all, as there are more features at your disposal :
– Password protection for PandaBank logins and transactions (no word on 2FA yet)
– Track individual account balances and transaction history
– Quick Transfer allows you to send PND quickly
– Track annual interest for each individual account
– Manage & transfer PND between your own PandaBank accounts
Judging from all of the above, I do mention accountS (plural, yes!) quite a few times. In the screenshot I was provided, there is a PandaBank account with a Main Interest Account, a Multipool MIning account, Sold Steam Games account, Faucet account, and more. IN addition, a portfolio summary is also available in your PandaBank account.
PandaWallet is the mobile wallet application for both iOS and Android, which will run on both tablets and smartphones. All of your standard wallet functions will be available on both platforms, such as sending and receiving. Once we receive a full list of supported features, we will post a new article, so keep an eye out for that over the coming weeks.
Even though most of us are experienced miners, the goal of cryptocurrency is to attract many new people who have possibly never mined before. As the amount of information can be overwhelming for some people, the PandaCoin team will be taking a different approach.
PandaCoin Browser Miner will allow people to start mining PND by opening up their web browser. No setup is required, except for providing a PandaCoin wallet address to receive your earnings. It will be interesting to see how the Browser Miner will work, but I assume it’s some JavaScript running in the background. We will find out by the end of August.
For slightly less novice and intermediate miners, there will be a tool called PandaMiner. Unlike the Browser Miner, PandaMiner is an actual desktop application presenting the user with an easy=to-use interface. All you need to set up is a wallet address, a worker name, graphics card settings (can be left at default) and hit “Start”. Sounds easy enough, no?
Advanced Mining Tutorials will be made available to the public as well, which will guide you through every step in order to get the most PandaCoin with your hardware. Detailed screenshots and instructions will be provided.
Mining is not for everyone, no matter how easy we make it. Some people just want to buy cryptocurrency with “more traditional” payment methods. BuyPND will assist you with that, as it allows for the purchasing of PandaCoin with Paypal. Or, if you prefer to purchase PND from exchanges, a “Buy PandaCoin from Exchanges” tutorial will be at your disposal too.
Even if you are not a big fan of the idea behind PandaCoin, that’s okay, as their new website will offer a Crypto Crash Course. Topics include “what is cryptocurrency?”, “what are the benefits over traditional money?”, “what are the risks of cryptocurrency?” and other interesting , yet vital pieces of information. I’m really excited about this to be honest!
Judging from all of the above, PandaCoin (PND) will try and shake up the cryptocurrency landscape as we know it. By providing users with easy ways to obtain information and start mining, as well as the mobile wallets and the option to purchase PND with Paypal, things could become very interesting for this altcoin!
