RosCoin has finally launched yesterday, so let’s take a look at how that is going so far. In case you didn’t read our previous article on ROS, you can find it here. The roadmap has been updated, Coin Control features are enabled, and more!
Even though the initial RosCoin launch was delayed by 15 minutes due to a slow network connection, everything went relatively smooth afterwards. With the miners spreading out amongst all of the 12 mining pools, mining commenced.
The network hashrate for RosCoin reached a peak of over 60 GH/s , which dropped to less than 20GH/s a few hours later, as this is normal with newly released coins. The current network hashrate seems to be quite high still, so there are plenty of people still mining!
The RosCoin roadmap got updated as well. The wallet has been released, promotion and bounties are being set up as we speak, the ICO finished, merchants are confirmed, and the anon chat and RosSend have been released. Up next will be a cloud wallet and more exchanges.
RosSend will work through a Coin Control button your can press in the “Messages” tab in your RosCoin client. Inputs are automatically select, or can be selected by the user if they wish to do so. You can then tick a box to do a custom address change. Fill in the recipient and the amount, et voila, you’re done.
There is an extra option in this tab though, which is called “Narration”. In this field, you can include a small note to be sent with the payment itself. Maybe just a message, or an invoice ID, or whatever else you want to put in there. I do assume this will also serve as some sort of chat system, albeit it might look a bit simple.
RosCoin has also been added to one exchange already, as you can trade your ROS at C-Cex!
