SatoshiPoint has announced the launch of three new bitcoin ATMs in the UK in the end of May/early June. Two of the three ATM’s will be placed in the capital. The third will be located in Bristol.
Here are the locations where you can find the ATM’s:
LONDON.
Old Street: Nincomsoup, located within Old Street Tube station.
Oxford Street: Rathbone News, Rathbone Place, London, W1T 1JS.
BRISTOL.
Bristol City Centre: SuperFoods, 25-27 St Stephens Street, Bristol, BS1 1JX.
Users of these new machines have nothing to worry about. SatoshiPoint’s second-generation ATMs will include a passport scanner as well as biometric palm reader and even a driving license reader. However some of these security features will not be implemented initially, but it will all depend on the future and on compliance with potential regulatory requirements.
The company says it plans to charge a flat 5% fee over the live bitcoin price on Bitstamp. However according to some reliable sources they will change to Cointrader.net to speed up withdrawals.
London Is becoming a very hip place to be for Bitcoiners and Crypto alike. London has already three Bitcoin ATMs in operation. The first ATM is a Lamassu unit run by Future Coins at a trendy bar in Shoreditch (the capital’s first). The second one is a Robocoin machine run by Global Bitcoin ATM at an Internet cafe in Holborn. The third one is another Robocoin installed by QuickBitcoin at a coffee and e-cigarette bar near Liverpool Street tube station.
So the Bitcoin user will have ample opportunity to sell and buy coins in London. If the rest of the world would follow in London’s footsteps, the future would be very bright indeed for Bitcoin and other Crypto.
