By the looks of things, implementing i2p technology is a hot trend at the moment, as not only Syscoin, but also ShadowCash is looking into adding this feature to their coin. Furthermore, we have received some more details on the progress of ShadyBay, Shadow’s decentralized peer-to-peer commerce platform. Let’s get to the details!
ShadyBay (or sbay) is Shadow’s decentralized p2p commerce platform, which is getting closer to completing the initial design stage. In total, there will be four different phases to be completed before ShadyBay is released to the public, with the design stage being the very first.
As of this writing, 16 days of work has been put into designing the ShadyBay layout so far, and the initial designs are expected to be released over the next few days. A teaser has been provided to us, and you can see that screenshot below :
As far as some of the technical details go, one of the concepts being discussed is integrating a LocalBitcoins-esque platform into the marketplace. The main benefit of such a platform would be providing users with constant liquidity , while still guaranteeing user privacy.
There will also be a reputation system, covering goods, services and currency exchanges between users. With user privacy not being compromised, yet all types of transactions being subject of feedback and reputation ratings, this sounds like a must have feature in my book.
Another concept being talked about is a local classifieds feature, allowing users to meet in person for the exchange of goods/services/digital currency. While this concept appears similar to Craigslist, it will be vastly different, thanks to Shadow’s mobile applications. For example, how does a offline in-person Shadow transaction sound to you?
Do keep in mind none of these concepts or features have been confirmed at this point. They are just being discussed for now, and we will find out more information as we get closer to the ShadyBay release date.
In other ShadowCash news, the developers are working on the addition of i2p technology to SDC. We have not yet received any technical details on what we can expect from ShadowCash’s i2p implementation, so we will keep an eye out for further information.
Last but not least, ShadowCash’s Zero Knowledge technical whitepaper is expected to be released very soon. No official date has been announced as of yet, but it will be released during the month of December.
