Would you like to know more about the development update posted by the StealthCoin developers? Good, you’ve come to the right place then. The team is working on a Chandran Signature implementation for StealthSend. And a web based wallet will be available soon as well.
As the Chandran Signature implementation is something I had personally never heard about, I had to do some research in order to explain it to our readers. This feature would reduce the storage burden of signatures included in StealthSend transactions.
I have taken the following quote from the StealthSend whitepaper (which can be found here) :
“Chandran signatures achieve this space savings by including non-interactive witness-indistinguishable (NIWI) proofs in the signature. These proofs commit to only a subset of the complete multisignature, requiring storage for just the subset.”
The Chandran Signature implementation is currently being worked on by Hondo and the XST security expert. If all things keep going according to plan, this feature should be released by mid-November 2014. Looking forward to seeing it in action!
The rest of the StealthCoin team is working on a web based wallet which can be used in conjunction with StealthText. Even though this project was never on the official XST roadmap, the expected release date is mid-October.
