The Swiss watchmaker is releasing a collection of 200 watches which can be purchased with bitcoin through a partnership with BitPay.

  • Luxury watchmaker Hublot is accepting bitcoin as payment for a limited-edition watch collection.
  • Hublot partnered with BitPay to accept bitcoin with its U.S. eBoutique and will continue to accept bitcoin through this outlet.
  • Other luxury brands, such as Gucci, Balenciaga and Tag Heuer also accept bitcoin.

Gab, a social network dedicated to preserving freedom of speech, has announced that its store now accepts BTC directly after banks and payment processors denied the platform service. “Literally no one can no-platform our new crypto shop,” Gab announced. The platform integrated Btcpay Server after it was refused service by Coinbase and Bitpay.

Adult entertainment website PornHub have announced that one of their side projects ‘Tube8’ is set to see a full migration onto the blockchain, in a move that has been designed to start paying people in cryptocurrency for viewing porn on their website.

Cryptocurrency Miners Help Keep Tiny Swiss Village Alive

Yet another major Swiss bank, Maerki Baumann Private Bank in Zurich, announced it will begin accepting cryptocurrency.

Setting the Tone?

In July 2017, Switzerland’s Falcon Private Bank announced that it will be storing and trading Bitcoin within its very own asset infrastructure, challenging the status quo as most banks in the country refuse to accept cryptocurrencies.

Now, another major bank – Maerki Baumann Private Bank in Zurich, will be accepting digital currencies. The only condition is that they would have to be received for a service or from successful mining.
