Dogecoin is now a long way from its all-time high of $ 0.7 which was brought about by billionaire Elon Musk aggressively promoting what he calls his “favorite” cryptocurrency. However, as the meme coin continues to trend low, even with the current bull sentiment, there is always the possibility of Musk resuming his very public support for Dogecoin.

Crypto Market Sees Almost $400 Million In Liquidations As Prices Drop Again

The broader crypto market is once again taking a heavy beating as Bitcoin, Ethereum and their fellow digital currencies are painting their charts in red.

Bitcoin was hit the hardest this time as its price correction led to a fall below the $ 20K marker. According to tracking from Coingecko, at the time of writing, BTC is trading at $ 19,770.

Ethereum decreased by 5.4% over the last 24 hours and has fallen below the $ 1,500 range, changing hands at $ 1,486.  Read more...

Dogecoin: Elon Musk Skyrockets The DOGE Price Again, Here’s What’s Happening

Following Elon Musk’s Twitter acquisition confirmation last week, the price of Dogecoin (DOGE) went through the roof. For the first time since May of this year, DOGE surpassed the $ 0.01 mark and temporarily exceeded $ 0.14. On Monday, DOGE took a small breather, but it was not to last long.

As numerous members of the Dogecoin community predicted, a tweet from Musk would be enough to start another DOGE rally. And Musk did not disappoint the Dogecoin community.

At 00:17 EDT, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX tweeted the following image, which shows a Shiba Inu, the memecoins mascot wearing a Twitter shirt and a pumpkin with a Twitter logo.  Read more...

SEC Delays VanEck ETF Yet Again

In the Bitcoin industry’s Sisyphean struggle to secure a Bitcoin exchange traded fund (ETF), the boulder is rolling back down the hill.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) posted a notice today, May 20, 2019, that it is delaying its decision on the VanEck and SolidX Bitcoin ETF proposal. With this additional extension (the first coming on March 29, 2019), the agency will have until August 19, 2019 to either approve, reject or delay the decision yet again; if it is delayed a second time, the agency will have to reach a final decision by October 19, 2019.  Read more...

Markets Update: Crypto Prices Recover While Bitcoin Cash Lead the Charge Again

On April 25, cryptocurrency markets tumbled after the controversy between the New York Attorney General’s (NYAG) office, the stablecoin company Tether, and Bitfinex exchange. Since then, prices have slightly recovered and the entire cryptoconomy regained $ 4.3 billion after losing $ 10 billion last Thursday. Moreover, out of the top 10 cryptos by market capitalization today, bitcoin cash (BCH) leads the way by gaining more than 5% in the last 24 hours.

Cboe Files (Again) for (Yet Another) Bitcoin ETF

That didn’t take long.

Barely a week after the Chicago Board of Exchange (Cboe) withdrew its application with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to list the world’s first bitcoin exchange traded fund (ETF), the exchange and its partners, VanEck and SolidX, are back at it.

Gabor Gurbacs, the director of digital asset strategy at VanEck Asset Management, broke the news on Twitter that the Cboe, on behalf of the joint initiative, had refiled for a rule change with the SEC to list the ETF. The filing has all the bureaucratic trappings of those that came before, but it will reset the clock on the SEC’s decision-making time frame for the institutional-grade product.  Read more...

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has announced that the electric car maker’s long-serving chief financial officer (CFO), Deepak Ahuja, is leaving the company after over a decade of service, CNBC reports.
