Georgia Tech Students Can Now Pay For Food and Goods With Bitcoin

We have seen several smaller partnerships between Bitcoin and universities in the United States over the past few months. Georgia Institute of Technology will be the first university integrating Bitcoin payments into its stadium concession sales , as well as student dining and shopping credit system. All of this is made possible thanks to BitPay, the global leader in Bitcoin payment acceptance.

In the student section of Bobby Dodd Stadium, students will soon find Bitcoin point-of-sale devices. The Barnes & Noble store located in Tech Square will house a Bitcoin-enabled point purchase terminal for student credit BuzzCards. In short, students using Bitcoin can pay for food and goods at almost any location on the Tech campus.  Read more...

Fluttercoin Announces 2014 Roadmap Fluttercoin to Include Selective Anonymous Transactions and Integrated Marketplace

Chicago, IL: Today, Fluttercoin electronic currency announced their 2014 development roadmap. Plans to implement selective anonymous transactions integrated within the Fluttercoin wallet are currently nearing completion, with beta testing to begin with the early July client update.

In addition, by late Q4, Fluttercoin plans to integrate a shopping and merchant portal allowing customers to purchase products directly without the need for 3rd party payment gateways, ensuring the customer and the merchant a faster and simple shopping experience.  Read more...

CINNI Wallet Update Includes Encrypted Messaging, CINNI/BTC Point-of-Sale System Announced

Late last evening (my local time), a new update regarding CinniCoin was published by the developers. The new CINNI wallet, which has Encrypted Messaging enabled has been released for Windows and Linux.

But that’s not all there was in the announcement, as we also received more details about the Encrypted Messaging system as a framework. A small list was released, showing which projects, which will be built upon the EM platform,  are currently in development.

XC Anonymous Wallet Released, Future Plans & MIssion Statement Revealed

So XC finally released their new wallet client, which feature anonymous transactions, a feature plenty of people are looking for these days. There is also an XC Mission Statement, which was recently published. Let’s take a look, shall we?

After announcing the anonymous features over a week ago, the updated XC client is finally here. The way these transactions are anonymized, is through the Coin Mixing feature, which we have seen in coins like StableCoin before.

There have been some interesting announcements coming from the DigitalCoin corner. After the re-opening of the CryptoAve exchange, there wasn’t as much of an impact on the DigitalCoin price as anticipated. So let’s see what’s new!

No less than three new major DigitalCoin projects have been unveiled, and they all look very interesting to say the least. A Point-of-Sale system, DigitalCoin ATM’s and DigiMart are all in the works as of this writing;
