It is no secret that Bitcoin can be used to do social good as well as being a regular currency at the same time, especially when it comes to small and micro-transactions. Bitcoin can easily outshine the competition due to its low – or non-existent – transaction fees. This is one of the main reasons why several charitable organizations around the world are shifting their attention to Bitcoin.
Support Your Favorite Charity with Bitcoin During Bitcoin Giving Tuesday
With Bitcoin Black Friday behind us, and a new week only beginning, the time has come for a new effort to increase Bitcoin awareness and bring positive attention to this cryptocurrency. Several Bitcoin organizations have come together in order to present Bitcoin Giving Tuesday, thanks to the participation of BitGive Foundation, the Bitcoin Foundation, Circle, Changetip, BitPay and Bitcoin Black Friday.
The main objective of Bitcoin Giving Tuesday is allowing Bitcoin enthusiasts all over the world to make donations for a greater cause, regardless of the amount they want to pledge. Whereas most causes have a certain minimum (US$10 for example), this campaign allows for any denomination of money to be pledged for the full 100%.
