'XRP Army' Accused of Harrassment After Intense Debate Over the Token's Market Cap

Over the last few months, there’s been a lot of discussion about the company Ripple Labs and the digital token XRP. A recently published report on the market valuation of XRP, authored by the cryptocurrency data startup Messari, has caused quite a stir among the community. After Messari’s founder Ryan Selkis shared an article concerning the XRP study, he claims someone called his phone and harassed him.

Santander InnoVentures Invests in Ripple – Blockchain Technology is the Future for Banking

Ripple Added to Shapeshift.io’s Instant Exchange Platform

Instant cryptocurrency exchanging platforms such as ShapeShift.io are an intriguing additional to the world of digital currencies. As these platforms require no account registration and execute trades immediately, it makes exchanging currencies a lot easier compared to other exchange platforms. Ripple (XRP) Taking a Beating On All Fiat Currency Fronts While Value Against Bitcoin Increases

There seem to be multiple strange thing going on over at the BTC38 exchange. Not strange as in malicious, but strange as in some peculiar price changes we didn’t really expect at this point in time. Then again, cryptocurrency is volatile by nature, so it is hard to predict the future when it comes to digital currencies. Ripple seems to be dropping like a brick right now.

To be more precise, Ripple seems to be losing a lot of steam in 4 out of its 6 trading markets today. When looking at the BTC/XRP charts, prices are up by over 30% on Snapswap, and by nearly 30% on Bitstamp. Quite an impressive increase, although that mostly comes from the very low Bitcoin price if you ask me.  Read more...

Cryptsy Integrates with eSpend’s Ripple Gateway Technology

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – eSpend (http://www.espend.com/), a California financial technology company, has integrated Cryptsy, a Florida crypto-currency exchange, into the Ripple network. eSpend’s Ripple gateway software lets Cryptsy provide its customers with the ability to trade XRP, the Ripple network’s native currency, against Cryptsy’s current 90-plus currencies. In the near future, Cryptsy intends to become a full-fledged Ripple gateway, allowing all currencies to be transferred and traded on the Ripple network.

“We have been wanting to get XRP on Cryptsy for a long time now,” said Paul Vernon, CEO and founder of the Cryptsy exchange. “The team at eSpend has made it easy and we look forward to working with them to bring in more of Ripple’s features.”  Read more...
