The Ghent Bitcoincity initiative is a great success up until this point, as two new merchants have started accepting Bitcoin payments in-store. Keeping in mind the major Ghent Bitcoincity event is to be held on April 18, there are already quite a few places where you can spend your Bitcoins right now. Hopefully, more places will be added during and after that event as well.
Ilse D Esthetiek – Beauty Salon Accepting Bitcoin Payments
Even though the list of participating retailers of the Ghent Bitcoincity initiative is still a bit short, there is one noticeable trend; every business owner offers something entirely different. And that is exactly what we Bitcoin enthusiasts need most in order to push bitcoin awareness to new heights; less “traditional” retailers who venture into the world of digital currency payments.
Ilse D Esthethiek is a beauty salon, located at Sint-Lievenslaan 95 in Ghent. As you would come to expect from a beauty salon, they offer a variety of services, ranging from facial care to manicures, pedicures and even a slimming diet based on the Restart-diet. But even if you are just looking for a healthy massage, you have come to the right address.
Ilse D is providing a reliable service by using top-notch quality products. Some of our UK-based readers may be familiar with a technique called “HD Brows”, and Ilse D is Belgium’s first [and only] HD Brows Master specialist. Quality care, combined with a cozy place where both body and mind can relax, make Ilse D Esthethiek a must-visit place when you are in Ghent.
World’s End Comics – Books, Boards Games & Much More!
When the best of both worlds comes together, it creates an incredible feeling. If you are a huge fan of comic books, board games, card games or any other fantasy-related games, World’s End Comics is the place to be. And now that this store also accepts Bitcoin payments, I might find myself visiting the shop to look for a set of Zombie Dice on April 18th.
World’s End Comics has been around for quite some time, as the shop opened its doors in the 1980’s. This store’s success can partially be attributed to it’s excellent location, in the middle of Ghent’s nightlife area. With so many young people traversing the Overpoort area on a daily basis, this could prove to be a new hotbed for Bitcoin awareness and adoption in the years to come.
Both Ilse D Esthethiek and World’s End Comics will use Bitkassa to process in-store Bitcoin purchases.
