The new VeriCoin wallet has finally been released, and it includes several new features, as well as a major GUI overhaul. A lot of work has been put into this new VRC client, so let’s take a look at the new goodies!
As I mentioned the entire GUI has been overhauled, and is now more streamlined like most altcoin wallets we see these days. The typical blue and white colors are well represented, and the new VeriCoin client just looks more professional to be honest.
For those users who just want to access the major functions, but not necessarily run the wallet in “full” mode because of memory/CPU constraints, there is a solution! The new VRC client supports a “Simple Wallet Mode”, which removes some of the more graphical elements from the main QT client window.
Speaking of statistics, several charts are included in the new VRC client. Network statistics (supply, market cap, interest rate, et cetera) and a 24-hour graph of the VeriCoin value can be accessed from the main QT screen.
As expected, you can buy VeriCoin directly from your new VRC client. The feature is externally updated, and will remain in place until bitVeri is released. Last but not least, the full wallet unlock feature has been removed and replaced with Staking only unlock. This allows users to send multiple transactions in one go, and improves security.
