First article of the day, so we have to make it a good one. Or actually, the VeriCoin team made sure it will be a good one, as they have opened up their VeriBit service to the public. Let’s take a closer look, shall we?
Even though we only did an article on VeriCoin and VeriBit yesterday (which you can find here), the team is really pushing hard to get this service out to the public. As it stands right now, it is available to anyone who wants to give VeriBit a try.
A spending limit is in place, as each transaction is limited to a maximum of 0.15 Bitcoin, or the equivalent in VeriCoin. This restriction will be lifted in the future though, alas we have not received an official date as to when this will happen.
Once a VeriCoin deposit address has been generated, you have a maximum of 20 minutes to complete the transaction. There is a small fee of 2 VeriCoin per transaction, and a weighted average of the current live exchange rates will be used.
Several people on BitcoinTalk have tried VeriBit, and from what we can gather, all transactions are successful and completed pretty fast.As this alows you to pay in VeriCoin to any shop, store or service that accepts Bitcoin, the possibilities are endless.
