As was requested by several people in Twitter (thank you for the suggestion folks!) , it’s time to take a look at TrustPlus. This digital currency was announced little over two weeks ago, and they have been making some waves, so let’s take a closer look!
TrustPlus is a coin by the community for the community, and it has all intents of staying that way. Voting and suggestions are not only welcomed, but also encouraged! I like this approach already!
Now, as I mentioned before, TrustPlus was announced a little over two weeks ago, but it only actually launched July 4th. Some interesting features have been developed for this coin, which give the term “anonymity” a whole different meaning.
TrustPlus offers automatic transactions. What this means is that the wallets are constantly actively moving coins from wallet A to a client-selected trusted wallet. This in turn creates some sort of a “smokescreen” when looking at the blockchain.
“ Automatic transactions will be created to pass hands between multiple wallets. Creating a private trust grid with transactions with no relevance to service or goods. Real transactions will be tagged one way and not returned. It’s not a true ANON wallet but enough to make it very hard to track. “
I love how the TrustPlus developers are completely honest about this feature by saying this does NOT offer true anonymity. We could do with more digital currencies which are not hopping on the anon bandwagon and can’t deliver in the end.
Another interesting TrustPlus feature is called “wallet bloat”. To put it in simple terms , a new blockchain will be generated every year. A wallet and web service will be provided, so existing coins can be swapped over to the new blockchain at a one-to-one ratio.
I can understand this will confuse a lot of people. Not just because hardly anyone believes new coins will be around next year, but also because things could go wrong. We will see how this turns out I guess. I’ll give TrustPlus the benefit of the doubt!
TrustPlus offers a very limited period during which coins can be mined, so let’s take a look at the technical specifications :
45 Second Block Time
12,800 PoW Blocks
Estimated 6.6 Day PoW
197,100 Total Blocks
PoS is 18% APR
Interest starts after 8 Hours
Interest stops after 30 Days
The goal is to keep these coins in play
There is a TrustPlus pre-mine, which will be used for bounties exclusively. This pre-mine has also become a paper wallet, and the public address can be checked online. Once a bounty has been paid out, TX ID’s will be posted publicly as well.
As of this writing, TrustPlus can be traded on BitTrex, Poloniex and C-Cex.
